Two notorious city MCAs arrested over Sh1million bribe

Karen MCA David Mberia and Mathare North MCA Jared Okoth who were arrested for demanding bribe.

EACC detectives arrested two Nairobi MCAs for demanding a bribe of Sh1 million  from the owners of Kiragu Waichahi School in Eastleigh,Nairobi.It is said,the duo having been receiving money running into thousands from owners who after getting tired decided to involve the sleuths. Jared Okoth of Mathare North ward known to enjoy his hard drinks and David Mberia of Karen are are members of Culture and Social Services committee. The three are members of the Culture and Social Services Committee, who demanded a bribe of Kshs. 1 M in order to make a favourable report to the Assembly to counter the initial allegation they had made to the County Assembly that a private school in Eastleigh was illegal.
